WWE Backstage Canceled Next Week Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

So many sports leagues and live events have been effected by the worldwide Coronavirus concern that postponements and cancellations have been running rampant and now studio shows like WWE Backstage will be feeling the wrath as well.

FS1 announced that in their best interest of safety for its employees that all of it’s studio shows will be postponed until March 20. The statement is as follows:

“Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to suspend production of our live FS1 daily shows through at least Friday, March 20. Our top priority is the health and safety of our employees. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust accordingly.”

WWE Friday Night SmackDown will air on Fox from the Performance Center tonight, but there is no word as of yet what the plans are for RAW on Monday, which is set to take place in Pittsburgh. The Twitter account WrestleVotes writes that RAW may follow the same suit as it’s SmackDown counterpart.

This Monday’s RAW, which was to take place in Pittsburgh, will likely move to the Performance Center as well.

WWE Backstage faced it’s toughest ratings drop to date this past Tuesday as the studio show, accruing only 35,000 viewers for a show that featured a Jeff Hardy appearance.
