PWInsider Elite is reporting that WWE and ESPN are discussing possibly working together on new projects. Ari Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor, previously negotiated UFC’s deals with ESPN.
Another rival promotion (not AEW) has reportedly been in talks with ESPN as well. While there has been “some dialogue,” it was preliminary and most likely for ESPN+. The rival promotion already has a deal elsewhere at the moment.
ESPN is said to be interested in onboarding wrestling content on its streaming service.
Also, it should be noted that WWE is currently under contract, as their deal with Peacock runs through 2025.
