WWE has announced that SummerSlam broke a record for the largest indoor SummerSlam ever. Check out the press release below:

WWE® (NYSE: WWE) announced tonight that SummerSlam at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas set an indoor attendance record for the event, as a sold-out crowd of 51,326 fans attended WWE’s biggest event of 2021.

WWE totaled this much over both nights of WrestleMania this year, getting a total of 51,350 over both nights of the event. The event ran on a limited capacity thanks to COVID-19.

Despite the attendance number of 51,326, Wrestletix reported via Twitter that WWE actually only sold around 45,700 tickets for the event.
