In a surprising turn of events, John Cena has recently associated himself with The Rock at the Elimination Chamber 2025 pay-per-view happening. This development has taken place just prior to his much-anticipated WrestleMania 41 face-off with Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship title.
As you’re aware, Cena is poised to retire his wrestling boots this coming December, wrapping up his farewell tour which consists of 36 planned appearances.
Building on this exciting development, WWE released that the forthcoming 2025 Backlash pay-per-view gathering will take place on Saturday, May 10, at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Expect to see Randy Orton, who hails from St. Louis, lock horns with his long-time adversary, Cena.
Intriguingly, this event marks Cena’s comeback to Backlash after a hiatus of more than a decade, as he continues his retirement tour.
The announcement follows the huge success of Backlash 2024, which broke attendance records for a WWE arena show with the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France packed to capacity.
WWE Backlash 2025 tickets will be available from Friday, March 21, at 10 am CT via Ticketmaster.com. A presale begins On Wednesday, March 19, at 10 am CT and concludes on Thursday, March 20th, at exactly 11:59 pm CT.
