Writer Behind Otis And Mandy Storyline Let Go By WWE

Going into this year’s WrestleMania, there was one storyline everyone was following. It wasn’t for a world title, it wasn’t a huge blood feud, and it didn’t involve main eventers. Instead, it was a situation spiraling out from an unlikely romance between Heavy Machinery’s Otis and Mandy Rose. Involving ham, hacking, and misplaced cell phones, the saga had us all glued to SmackDown for weeks on end. It was truly one of the most unique WWE creative endeavors in recent times, and the person partially behind it has seemingly been future endeavored.
In a post to Twitter, WWE writer Andrea Listenberger stated that she was among the ongoing cuts echoing throughout the company. In her post, she thanks fans for the love her storyline received, stating that she’s proud of the work she was able to do since her hiring this past December.
Lots of people getting let go at #WWE today and regrettably, I am one of them. But I'm proud of the work I've been able to do since starting in Dec., and glad that the storyline I worked on resonated with so many people. That's what writing is about for me. #OtisandMandyForever
