Sharing my own perspective…
Even though a substantial part of Stand and Deliver might be superior to any other segments, and I’m eager for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on SmackDown as always, my attention is inevitably drawn to the epicenter of the event- the WrestleMania shows.
It’s not about always trying to defy the norm and choosing something unexpected just to appear different. Let me be straightforward: my top interest lies in the Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena match, more than anything else during the weekend.
Before you jump to conclusions, I’m not suggesting it is going to be the top encounter. They will likely not deliver the ultimate athletic showdown. Matches that might seize that title could be the NXT Women’s Championship Fatal 4-Way match, the Women’s World Championship Triple Threat match, or the Intercontinental Championship Fatal 4-Way match. Even Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins stands a chance.
Still, the prospect of Cena clinching his 17th world title, his varying wrestling style as a villain, possible permutations of the title match, and its implications raise my curiosity more than anything else. It is the main event, and some could argue this to be predictable. But sometimes, there’s an uncanny allure surrounding the main event.
