WrestleMania 36 Marked The End Of An Era For ‘Ringside Charlie’

WWE WrestleMania 36 Live Results

For most reading this, wrestling is a passion. Whether you’ve been watching for years or picked up the habit recently, the wacky world of WWE, AEW and the rest is something you can get lost in for a lifetime. For WWE superfan Charlie Adorno, that’s certainly the case. Better known as “Ringside Charlie”, the New York native has attended every WrestleMania since the first in Madison Square Garden.

That streak ended with WrestleMania 36, an event that occurred with no fans in attendance. Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Charlie revealed that those within the company almost helped him keep the streak alive.

They even said that if some fans were allowed in, I’d be at the top of the list. So there was definitely talk about the possibility, but with all of the strict guidelines, they were already at capacity for the amount of people they could have in the building. It wasn’t meant to be. If it was possible, I would have been there.

Adorno commented that he will return to his old ways for future WrestleManias with fans, hopefully starting next year in LA. You can see more of Adorno and his impressive ticket stub collection in this WWE documentary short subject produced last year:
