WWE NXT is currently operating without one of its prized talents due to an unfortunate injury. Nevertheless, she is demonstrating immense dedication to recover and make a triumphant comeback to the wrestling ring.
Nikkita Lyons, the talent in focus, incurred damage to her ACL and meniscus in January 2023 and then succumbed to an additional ACL tear in February, which has led to her prolonged absence from the mat.
Lyons then undertook surgical intervention for the recurrent injury. The expected recuperation duration generally spans between nine months to a year post-surgery.
Dating back to 2018, Lyons initiated her journey in professional wrestling. Her training took place under the guidance of Selina Majors and she made her introductory appearance in Women of Wrestling, using the stage name “Faith The Lioness”
Lyons managed to secure a developmental contract after participating in WWE tryouts in 2021. She marked her arrival in NXT TV in the latter part of that year, debuting in December.
In a recent video message delivered through Twitter, Lyons revealed that eight months have elapsed since her last surgical procedure and she is presently engaged in boxing training.
Lyons expressed her sentiments, saying, “It’s been a while 🥊 8 months post-operation on my left ACL. Now I’m balanced 🦿😁🦿 … It’s not about the fall, it’s about standing back up and refusing to quit. One’s journey is ran solo so only you understand the challenges you’ve braved. Reclaim your power and preserve your peace. 🦁.”
