Willow Nightingale Suffers Concussion – Details

AEW professional wrestler, Willow Nightingale, is on the injury list due to a concussion.

Earlier today, through social media, it was announced by CMLL that Nightingale experienced a concussion during the Women’s Grand Prix event held last night. As a result, she will no longer be participating in the upcoming Sabado de Arena Coliseo and Domingo Familiar at Arena Mexico.

Below is the original announcement:

We regret to announce to our shining fanbase, that the much admired AEW wrestler, Willow Nightingale, will be unable to take part in the scheduled bouts at Sabado de Arena Coliseo and Domingo Familiar in Arena Mexico. This comes as a result of a concussion sustained during the Women’s Grand Prix. Following our robust concussion protocols for both CMLL and AEW, Willow is obliged to sit out these events to prioritize her health and expedite her recovery.

In her stead, for tonight’s match at Arena Coliseo (El Embudo de Peru 77), CMLL World Champion Zeuxis will be filling in. Similarly, in tomorrow’s event at Arena Mexico, the place of Willow will be taken by CMLL Women’s Universal Champion 2024 Persephone.

We greatly appreciate our fans’ understanding during this time and we promise that these alternate champions will uphold the same level of entertainment and quality that characterises our wrestling events. We look forward to seeing you at Arena Coliseo and Arena Mexico, where the best of world wrestling is showcased!
