Willow Nightingale, the freshly crowned CMLL Women’s World Champion, has voiced her initial reactions after snagging the previously unclaimed title at the CMLL FantasticaMania USA event.
Nightingale emerged victorious in a three-way battle to claim the title, which had been relinquished after the former titleholder, Stephanie Vaquer, decided to part ways with CMLL to sign with WWE.
In the aftermath of the match, Nightingale referenced her past match in CMLL and made comments about Vaquer. She stated,
“My first wrestling match in CMLL was also my debut weekend, do you want to know what transpired when I made my entrance? I emerged as the victor. I outwrestled the reigning CMLL women’s champion at the time, Stephanie Vaquer. Stephanie isn’t here presently, the championship is up for grabs. Who’s on deck to step up to the plate? Willow Nightingale, that’s who. I was down in spirits, my ally betrayed me in AEW, I had suffered defeat in my recent match, I needed to bounce back with a win, and today was not just a victory, it was my coronation as an international champion.”

Last year, Nightingale bested Vaquer in the opening round of a tournament that was organized to decide the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. Willow clinched the finals by besting Mercedes Mone.
During a live event in Mexico City, Vaquer made her WWE debut, where she succeeded in defeating the Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn.
