Willie Urbina Released By All Elite Wrestling

Willie Urbina is no longer with All Elite Wrestling.
According to a report from PWInsider.com, All Elite Wrestling released Spanish language announcer Willie Urbina on Saturday. F4WOnline.com’s Dave Meltzer has also confirmed Urbina’s release.
The move came as a response to Urbina being caught mocking Hikaru Shida’s accent during last night’s AEW Dynamite broadcast. Urbina was unaware that he was still on a live mic during the Spanish language broadcast, and fans ended up sharing the clip on social media overnight.
Urbina previously worked for IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling as a Spanish commentator.
