Will Ospreay Wants To Sponsor All-Women’s Europe Event, Mercedes Mone Hypes TBS Title Defense

Will Ospreay, known for his advocacy of women’s wrestling, plans to back an exclusive event for female wrestlers in Europe later this year.

Ospreay shared his affiliation with Pro Wrestling EVE during a recent appearance on the “Insight” podcast. Some highlights from the podcast are discussed below:

Ospreay on his collaboration with Pro Wrestling EVE: “Working with all the girls is truly a joy for me. They are incredibly motivated, which drives me to put in more effort. My goal is to support an event in November that could hopefully fill a venue with around 1,500 to 2,000 spectators. It would be the most attended all-women’s show in Europe. This is a personal mission for me. I thoroughly enjoy working with EVE.”

Ospreay on his patronage of women’s wrestling: “This is something I am deeply passionate about. I adore female wrestling and the women in it. If any of the AEW or Ring of Honor girls are available and want to come to England, I would be more than happy to facilitate their trip. Their involvement would be a great boost for our product, something I would really appreciate.”

Mercedes Mone is all set to battle Momo Watanabe for the TBS Championship at AEW Revolution 2025 tonight. She posted her views on her impending title defense in the most recent issue of her “Mone Mag” newsletter.

Mone stated, “AEW Revolution! I am eager for AEW Revolution this Sunday! It’s not just another event. It presents an opportunity for me to compete with Momo Watanabe, an opponent I’ve encountered previously at Capital Collision for NJPW. She imbued in me a newfound zeal for professional wrestling, especially the electrifying realm of Joshi wrestling.

In August, I was dubbed as Two Belts Moné, and now? I walk into AEW Revolution as Four Belts Moné! The physical, mental, and emotional responsibility that comes with being a champion is enormous. These belts symbolize my dedication, persistency, and undying love for this sport. Anyone daring to challenge me for these titles better come prepared for a hard-hitting battle!

While Momo is an excellent wrestler known in Japan, I am here to prove that I am the best in the world. Our battle in the ring will be nothing short of memorable. Given our similar styles known for robust knee strikes and jaw-dropping Meteora moves, I am excited to see how this competition will shape up — it’s guaranteed to be a dramatic one!

Beyond our match, the pay-per-view event is brimming with remarkable talent. If you haven’t seen Momo’s performance yet, soak up her amazing skills this Saturday at AEW Collision when she goes up against the trained Serena Deeb. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to miss this!”
