Responding to speculation around wrestling superstar Ricochet potentially becoming a free agent and making the move to AEW, fellow AEW wrestler Will Ospreay shared his insights.
Asked to weigh in on the odds of Ricochet joining AEW, Ospreay suggested there is a “five out of 10” probability. He elaborated, “I rate it a five out of ten. I’ve been expressing this notion to numerous people lately. For years, I’ve been metaphorically shouting out Ricochet’s name. It’s only now, with his contract nearing its end, that the idea is seeming plausible to people.”
Going further, Ospreay said, “From time to time, Ricochet and I touch base. However, we’ve never explicitly discussed the prospect of him joining AEW. Sincerely, I hope he considers it. My desire goes beyond the professional realm—I miss him as a friend. I believe there’s a financial opportunity for a rematch here, but I also see potential in forming a tag team.”
Ospreay is set to challenge Swerve Strickland for the prestigious AEW World Championship at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event.
Included below is a video in which Will Ospreay discusses recent AEW Dynamite Ratings and talks about the possibility of Ricochet joining AEW.
