Professional wrestler Will Ospreay showed immense bravery by participating in AEW Grand Slam: Mexico, amidst the sorrow of losing his beloved grandfather. He took to Twitter to disclose this personal loss that he suffered.
A tweet that he posted read, “Personal update. Touched down in Mexico at 3am today. Received a heart-breaking phone call from my mother, informing me that my grandfather had left us in the morning. My grandfather and I had a very close relationship, he was my hero. The love and support you all have shown has been a great comfort to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
In the match during the Grand Slam event, Ospreay joined forces with Swerve Strickland and the Opps. They went up against Beast Mortos & The Death Riders in a high-energy ten-man tag-team faceoff.
In the end, Jon Moxley had Strickland pinned, using a crafty handful of tights. Moxley will now be faced with the challenge of defending the AEW World Title against ‘Hangman’ Page at AEW All In: Texas.
Our team at eWrestlingNews.com wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to Ospreay during this difficult time.
