PROGRESS Wrestling confirmed that Will Ospreay of AEW will not be taking part in the upcoming Unboxing VII occasion, scheduled for the 29th of December.

Unboxing VII is an annual event renowned for offering surprising appearances by popular wrestling talents. The show, on December 29th, already features the confirmed participation of El Hijo del Vikingo.

Ospreay further confirmed his absence, by stating, “I’m not on Unboxing this year. Surprise!”

His absence sparked comments from Tate Mayfairs who insinuated that Ospreay’s absence is driven by fear of a rematch that is due between them.

During a recent ‘AEW Unrestricted’ podcast appearance, Shelton Benjamin shared his experiences and feelings about his AEW debut. With a current 4-2 record in the Continental Classic, he expressed how “humbled” he was by his recognition and reception from the crowd.

Simultaneously, Dustin Rhodes, a veteran AEW talent, announced via Twitter that he is in the process of writing a new book with Alex Marvez. This being his second publication, he reminisced about his career and passion for the profession. His first book, “Cross Rhodes: Goldust, Out of the Darkness” was released in 2010.
