The period of time in AEW for CM Punk may have been a stressful one for many involved. However, Will Ospreay has no complaints about his relationship with the ex-World Champion.
Punk’s run-ups with AEW came to an end in 2023 when he was dismissed subsequent to his second suspension from the company. Despite them both being present in the company, Punk and Ospreay never ended up crossing paths in the ring.
During a recent episode of the “Insight” podcast, Ospreay was queried regarding his interactions with Punk and the potential face-off between them, which regrettably didn’t transpire. Ospreay responded,
“I just barely missed him. As for any issues, there are none as far as I’m concerned and I hope he’s doing well. Sure, it could have been a headline match, but situations unfold as they do.”
“My relationship with him has never been problematic. He’s always treated me well, except for this one instance that really irked me. I had asked him for recommendations for good steakhouses in Chicago, and he had assured me that he would provide one. When I arrived in Chicago, there were no steakhouses as promised.”
The infamous wrestler, CM Punk, found his way back to WWE in November 2023. Since his return, he has been one of the lead attractions and he also actively contributes to WWE NXT.
As for Ospreay, a thrilling Steel cage match against Kyle Fletcher at AEW Revolution 2025 is on his itinerary.
