Will Ospreay Dethrones Kenny Omega At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II
During Sunday night’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event, Will Ospreay dethroned Kenny Omega to capture the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship in what turned out to be a solid Match of the Year candidate.
The match reached unspeakable levels of violence after Don Callis was ejected from ringside. For a contest that lasted over 45 minutes, it packed everything a wrestling fan can possibly dream of.
Lots of blood, unprecedented violence, and inhuman torture, yet Ospreay and Omega continued to tear each other apart with no signs of stopping.
Callis eventually returned and passed a screwdriver to Ospreay who then used it on Omega for a nearfall.
Both men continued to battle it out for the title, and the finish saw Ospreay nail Omega with a Tiger Driver followed by a Stormbreaker for the three-count.
