Tonight’s episode of Rampage features the AEW in-ring debut of Gabe Kidd from NJPW, who presented himself to AEW fans in a Twitter video. Kidd, the current STRONG Openweight Champion of New Japan, teased,

“Are you all set? Get your cameras rolling. Want to know me? Curious about this guy? I am Gabe Kidd, reigning New Japan STRONG Openweight Champion. I sidelined Eddie Kingston to his couch, munching on Chick-fil-A for a year. That was me.”

Further, he provoked, “I’ve got rivals in every wrestling company worldwide. My back is a target in NOAH, New Japan, and now AEW. Question – What are you peeved little fans planning to do about it? I’ve arrived on your grounds. I’m a wild one. Come get me.”

Jim Ross, both a WWE Hall of Famer and AEW commentator, confirms his presence at the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event on Sunday, despite a recent medical scare when he was admitted to the ER owing to breathing issues.
