During the WWE NXT event this week, the situation surrounding the NXT World Championship evolved into utter confusion. This occurred during the show’s main event, where Trick Williams defended his title against Eddy Thorpe.
In the heat of the battle, Thorpe successfully grounded Williams but, in doing so, unintentionally knocked out the referee. Left without an official to make the pin count, a substitute referee flew into the ring. Thorpe then unleashed a barrage of powerful kicks in the corner, but Williams retaliated and pulled out his renowned Trick Shot. Both wrestlers, drained of their energy, fell onto the mat. As the first referee came back to his senses, both he and the second referee began separate pinfall counts.
The episode concluded with Ava glued to both referees, but without a definitive decision, leaving the fate of the NXT World Championship uncertain.
