Which WWE Superstars Should Be On A Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Float? | Question Of The Day

It’s another EWN Question of the Day special! We extend our warmest Thanksgiving greetings to all EWN followers!

On November 24, 1994, the WWF graced the 68th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, creating unexpected and memorable wrestling history. Stars such as The Undertaker, Paul Bearer, Razor Ramon, Lex Luger, British Bulldog, Doink the Clown, Dink, and The Slammer adorned the float. But who precisely was The Slammer? It seems he was a nod to a sports column, depicted by a man wearing a hockey mask and brandishing an oversized pencil.

You curious about it? The video clip below tells the tale.

For today’s query: “If the WWE had a spot in this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which Superstars would you prefer to see on the float?”

We eagerly await your response in the comments section below.

Here’s my take…

It may seem odd on the surface, but visualizing personalities like Razor Ramon and The Undertaker on that float doesn’t seem far fetched. The WWF was presenting a veritable cornucopia of quirky characters to promote the New Generation era.

It would be peculiar to duplicate this exact scenario with modern wrestling personalities, as today’s stars lack such distinctive gimmicks. Frankly, it wouldn’t make much sense for something as visually striking as giant Sonic the Hedgehog floats to share airspace with regular-looking people like Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Randy Orton or Rhea Ripley.

One option is to limit the selection to wrestlers with vibrant personas, even though this restricts star power and may generate less recognition and buzz. So, for anyone hoping to see The Wyatt Sicks in costume or a Wendy Choo appearance, that might be a long shot. Instead, it would make sense to showcase the more popular stars, regardless of their rather everyday personas.

But we also wouldn’t want to include wrestlers who aren’t known for their fan-friendly nature, like a Solo Sikoa or Gunther breaking character. So, focusing on crowd-friendly athletes seems like the better choice.

Based on those criteria, I propose a float with Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill (who seems straight from an action figure mold), Rey Mysterio, larger-than-life athletes like Braun Strowman or Omos, The Miz, and despite their ongoing feud, The New Day. Perhaps we could cap it off with the addition of Katana Chance and Kayden Carter with their party guns?

Extra Question: Would you dine on The Gobbledy Gooker if it showed up as part of your Thanksgiving meal, or would you give that turkey a reprieve?
