TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry made an appearance at this week’s episode of WWE NXT.
The episode featured a 25-man battle royal in the opening match to decide on the challenged to Trick Williams for the NXT Championship to be held at NXT Heatwave. Joe Hendry and Frankie Kazarian, also from TNA Wrestling, were part of the battle royal. However, Hendry was eliminated early by Kazarian, much to the disappointment of the audience at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL.
WWE main roster players, including Dragon Lee, Angel, Berto, Apollo Crews, and Tyler Bate, also competed in the match.
Kazarian managed to be one of the final four contestants, but it was Je’Von Evans who, after defeating Shawn Spears, won the match. This means Je’Von Evans will be facing Trick Williams at WWE NXT Heatwave.
