In the latest episode of WWE Raw, Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers clashed with Otis, Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri. Gable suggested that Otis had assumed a leadership role in Alpha Academy, but there was no formal announcement to this effect. Gable’s TitanTron imagery remained branded with the Alpha Academy name, and no official designation for either faction had been made.

The eWrestlingNews Question of the Day is, “What name would you propose for these two groups?” Would you maintain the Alpha Academy name for one of them? If so, which one? What name would you suggest for the other? Would you eliminate the Alpha Academy moniker entirely and devise two fresh names? Or would you rather abandon this storyline completely and reunite them?

Please, share your answers in the comments section.

As for my own opinion, I would keep the association between Gable and the Alpha Academy name as it is. Though Diamond Mine sounds good and could be reintroduced, given how much time has passed and the many changes the group has seen, it seems unnecessary. Especially as Gable has consistently had American Alpha, followed by Alpha Academy.

As for Otis, Tozawa and Dupri, nothing in their group screams Alpha Academy to me. It doesn’t seem like a recruitment or training faction. I would schedule a match between Otis and Gable, with battle rights for the Alpha Academy name on the line. I would give the win to Gable.

Then, the dejected trio of babyfaces would seemingly have two options in my opinion.

Option A would be to slowly split up, which I think is the better course. It seems to me that they’ve hit a ceiling together, and I don’t see them winning over fans enough to justify a title run.

Option B, assuming they remain together, would be to christen themselves with a name reflecting their status as lovable losers. I’d likely brainstorm around this theme, mindful of the group’s impending split.

Perhaps they could be called The Underdog Pack, suggesting a “pack mentality” to counterbalance Alpha Academy’s training theme. This isn’t the most original or intriguing name, but considering other names like The Shield, it could be worse. But in the end, my preferred scenario would be the nameless trio splitting up, while Gable succeeds with the reinvented Alpha Academy and The Creed Brothers.
