Before the recording of this week’s AEW Dynamite television program, two matches were pre-recorded ahead of their upcoming debut on ROH TV via HonorClub. The bouts included Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum, also know as The Outrunners, defeating Elijah Drago & Brady Booker and ROH World Television Champion Komander facing off against QT Marshall in a Proving Ground Match, which ended in a ten-minute draw – a result that secured Marshall a title match in the future.
At the conclusion of this week’s AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, wrestlers FTR and Cope (Adam Copeland) made speeches to the live audience at the Harrah’s Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina. All profits from this show goes towards hurricane relief efforts.
Harwood from FTR expressed his joy about AEW’s inaugural show in Asheville, a city he recently moved back to and considers it as one of the best decisions he made. He mentioned Hurricane Helene and how he, Wheeler and Cope aimed to bring a glimmer of hope and generate funds for the still struggling citizens of the city. He cheered the audience saying,
“Last time I was in this building, guys it was very bleak in the stands. We had just about 1,000 people, but tonight, you packed it out to see Rated FTR, and we love you guys. Thank you very much!”
Cope then took over the microphone to discuss his return to the wrestling ring following a seven-month hiatus due to a fractured tibia. He proudly stated his toughness, living in the 828 area, and how they don’t let any hurricane deter them. He called for unity as a community and invited the fans to have a friendly chat if they meet in the streets. His inspiring speech ended with a chant against the hurricane and a cheer for ‘828’ and his love for Asheville.
The discussions continued with the release of some additional highlights from the AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen shows that aired on Wednesday night. The highlights included intense matches and exclusive backstage talks. These exciting videos bring more attention to the highly-praised wrestling event.
