Contrary to previous information shared on eWn, David Finlay was forced to step back from the 2024 New Japan Cup. This was due to a health issue that led to his hospitalization.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the cause of Finlay’s sudden leave was inflammation in his neck, which impeded an artery and restricted the blood supply to his brain.
This situation made Finlay undergo bouts of dizziness coupled with irregular vision.
Despite these setbacks, Finlay has since made a successful comeback. He recently took down Nic Nemeth to secure the NJPW Global Title.
