Get ready for another Question of the Day from eWrestlingNews! As AEW Battle of the Belts XI is on the horizon, just after tonight’s AEW Collision episode, a hike in anticipation is expected. For the first time in quite a lengthy period, we are aware that at least one new champion will emerge, as the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championship statue is open for new owners.

I’m asking you today, “What predictions do you have for AEW Battle of the Belts XI?”

As for my predictions…

Unquestionably, it is hard for anyone to envision “Timeless” Toni Storm losing the AEW Women’s World Championship to Taya Valkyrie anytime soon. Seeing Valkyrie win an eliminator match to line up for a title shot seems pointless. The decision to include this on the card baffles me, especially when its outcome is almost certain. Nevertheless, giving the lackluster and utterly purposeless matches seen in many Battle of the Belts specials, it feels like Tony Khan enjoys this match for what it is.

Regarding the ROH six-man belts, I fail to see why they are still prevalent. All Elite Wrestling should cease anticipating multiple title winners, labeling it a unification, only to retract a few months later. That’s not unification. It’s merely a lackadaisical way to skip planning additional champions when inspiration is lacking. If that’s the case, streamline the belts. If it isn’t about planning for the titles, but about glorifying someone, doesn’t it highlight the insignificance of these titles?

Considering The Undisputed Kingdom vying for these belts amusing, as they could be holding the ROH World Tag Team Championships and the six-man belts at the same time. If that happens, merge them! Once and for all!

While that’s my hope, the recent AEW and ROH booking patterns suggest a different outcome. If they win (my prediction still holds), I believe it will lead to an array of title holders and ultimately, segregating them arbitrarily by year-end. However, they seem to have a better shot at victory than Dustin Rhodes and The Von Erichs.

As for the match up of Willow Nightingale versus Deonna Purrazzo for the CMLL Women’s World Championship, it could swing in favor of Purrazzo if Kris Statlander wasn’t already lined up for an elimination match. Stat isn’t likely to hinder Willow’s match to set up another title contender, as it serves her no purpose. Also, It would be odd to have two top contenders simultaneously. So Willow is probable to win so that Stat can emerge victorious in the next one and have a face-off with Willow for the title. It’s strange to see Purrazzo used to bolster another storyline rather than being a legitimate contender for Nightingale’s title.
