Wes Lee is gearing up to depart from The Rascalz, as suggested by the occurrences at this week’s WWE NXT event. However, whether or not The Rascalz feel the same about this separation is not something the former North American Champion can confidently ascertain.
The talented Lee, who previously affiliated himself with The Rascalz, emerged victorious against Zachary Wentz from TNA Wrestling during a street fight in the recent show.
Expressing his triumph and feelings about his former group in a WWE Digital Exclusive, Lee stated with conviction that he has severed ties with The Rascalz but questioned whether the feeling was reciprocated.
In his own words, “I feel invincible. I defeated my brother in exactly the way that I predicted. This is a stern warning to anyone who assumes they can challenge me and stand a chance. I have reached a pinnacle that individuals would despise seeing me achieve again…ever. It’s better to be on my good side. Full stop.”
He further adds, “I’ve severed ties with The Rascalz. But is the feeling mutual? I perfectly understand how the pair of Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz function. Time will reveal all. But my focus is certainly geared towards building my own reputation and legacy. And I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve.”
A turning point in Lee’s professional relationship with Wentz and Miguel came in August during the second week of WWE NXT Great American Bash. This marked Lee’s first time portraying a villainous character in the WWE.
Lee and Wentz culminated their association with WWE in 2020, a journey that saw them becoming two-time NXT Tag Team champions. This reign ended with Wentz, who later assumed the name Nash Carter, departing the WWE in April 2022.
