WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins did not take kindly to being called a “fake a** champion” at a recent live event.
After dispatching of Finn Balor at the event in Coral Gables, Florida, Rollins addressed the fans and noticed a fan questioning the legitimacy of his championship reign.
Responding to the fan, whose comment earned boos from the rest of the audience, Rollins said,
“I am here in your city sweating buckets, bleeding my own blood. I am far from a fake ass champion. I am a fighting champion because you and I deserve a champion that’s gonna sweat and bleed his own blood.”
Rollins was crowned champion in May of this year, but some have criticized his title as a consolation prize for Superstars unable to dethrone Roman Reigns.
Seth Rollins will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor this Saturday at WWE Summerslam.
