WATCH – Drew McIntyre’s Call To Action For Fans During WrestleMania Week

In the leadup to WrestleMania 41 week, Drew McIntyre imparted some words of wisdom for the fans, outlining a comprehensive list of dos and don’ts.

The ex-WWE World Heavyweight Champion emphasized the need to display respect towards wrestlers and their need for personal space. He advised fans to adopt good personal hygiene habits like wearing deodorant and to back local independent wrestling communities.

McIntyre then went on to suggest that fans should avoid bringing merchandise to the airport for signatures, to steer clear of the wrestlers’ hotel, and to be cautious about not disturbing wrestlers during their personal conversations.

He wrapped up his advice by underlining that fans should avoid referring to wrestlers by their real names.

McIntyre expressed, “It’s WrestleMania week, the most thrilling time of the year and the pro wrestling world is buzzing. We’re in an exceptional phase of wrestling where the whole industry is converging on Vegas, drawing the attention of the entire world to WWE. My concern is for you guys and I don’t want you messing it up. So, I’ve thought it would be helpful to outline some dos and don’ts, a small PSA so you can have maximum enjoyment at WrestleMania. If there is a negative interaction or experience, the blame falls on you since you didn’t take my advice. Firstly, the do’s. Show respect to all wrestlers. It’s our most hectic work week of the year. If you see us rushing, please don’t obstruct us as we’re likely on our way to an appearance.”

He proceeded, “Please back local independent wrestling. During WrestleMania week, there’s so much happening. It’s an amazing atmosphere so do support independent wrestling. Refrain from crowding the airport with merchandise for autographs. There are plenty of opportunities for signings and photo ops. Just respect our space as we’re grappling with the busiest week of the year. And about the hotel, please don’t intrude. That’s our sanctuary. Treat it as our home for the week because, in reality, it is. We have our families and friends there, some even have kids.”

Continuing his advice, McIntyre added, “Avoid interrupting people if they’re in a meaningful conversation. There are plenty of opportunities to meet people throughout the week. And if you happen to spot a superstar, you can say ‘hi’ and take a quick photo, but avoid asking for merchandise signatures, especially at the hotel. Lastly, don’t call people by their real names. That’s a guaranteed way to scare us off.”
