Was CM Punk’s AEW Collision Promo Known Ahead Of Time?

CM Punk threw barbs at The Young Bucks during his explosive promo on last week’s premiere episode of AEW Collision.

Punk indirectly called The Elite “soft” and referred to the Jackson brothers as “counterfeit bucks.”

It was reported at the time that both Matt and Nick Jackson took it in a lighthearted manner.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the promo “added to the internal divisiveness” in AEW.

Moreover, while some noted that Punk’s remarks about The Young Bucks were known ahead of time by both sides, that was “very much not the case.”

Additionally, AEW didn’t plan any angle between Punk and The Elite at the time of the promo.
