The TV rights deals for WWE and AEW are up next year as AEW is in talks with Warner Bros. Discovery while WWE is in discussions with USA Network for Raw and FOX for SmackDown.

Earlier this year, while appearing on the SI Media with Jimmy Traina podcast author/reporter/podcast host James Andrew Miller, who also was the Executive VP of Original Programming for the USA Network, talked about hearing there is interest in WWE programming from people at Warner Bros. Discovery.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WBD is still interested in WWE. Meltzer pointed out that WBD getting AEW and WWE is not likely, as WWE wouldn’t want to have the same television partner as their rival.

WBD is also strapped for cash as they look to sign AEW and the NBA to new deals.
