The spotlight often falls on AEW’s weekly viewership figures when the ratings of Dynamite are disclosed. However, according to Beyond The Bell’s Andrew Zarian, those in control at Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) have no qualms about the online buzz.
Zarian revealed that key executives at WBD aren’t swayed by the online conversations concerning the ratings. In his own words,
“I’ve been hearing very positive stuff from WBD. I brought up the ratings and the internet chatter to them and they don’t care. It doesn’t even resonate. The messaging on the internet is not even resonating with these people and they’re in key positions there.”
This statement followed the announcement made by AEW and WBD in October 2024 about a multi-year rights agreement. This agreement secured the continuous airing of AEW content on WBD’s networks and platforms. AEW programs have been airing on TNT or TBS since October 2019, starting with Dynamite’s debut.
