Warhorse had one valiant showing against AEW TNT Champion Cody Rhodes last on Dynamite, but his 4,000 pounds of heavy metal came just short of ruling ass against the American Nightmare in athletic competition.
The indie star took time to react to his defeat, but in the same vein, credited Cody for being forward-thinking in the way he takes on all challengers in the one true sport.
“It’s the champions that lead us into the next generation,” Warhorse bellowed. “It’s people like Cody that know that professional wrestling is the greatest sport between the earth and sky. It’s the most entertaining sport in the world and people like him, listen to our generation. They listen to the people that wanted Warhorse.”
Warhorse continued by saying he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, leaving his relationship with AEW open for interpretation, but Cody did end up tipping his cap to one of independent’s wrestling’s hottest stars.
He indeed…ruled ass.
I’m a believer. https://t.co/qWyXpsi2a0

Warhorse did show a great deal of respect to Cody post-match as he happened to shove Cody out of harm’s way, protecting him from a vicious attack by The Dark Order. This was after the two went back and forth in a bout that had to catch Cody off-guard.
