Wade Barrett – ‘I Have No Plans To Go Up Against GUNTHER’

Will Wade Barrett return to the ring? Perhaps, but it won’t be against WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.

Barrett hasn’t competed for WWE since 2016 and when speaking with “Even Stronger,” the RAW commentator made it clear that he isn’t interested in facing the Austrian. He said,

“No surgeries on the horizon. I’m feeling pretty good. Now, of course, this is when people start messaging me, ‘Hey when are you getting back in the ring? How about Gunther?’ Hell no! I’m not getting in the ring with Gunther I can promise you that.”

In WWE, Barrett is a five-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, a King of the Ring winner, a one-time Slammy Award winner, and won season one of the original NXT.
