In a recent episode of his “Bro Down” podcast, professional wrestling personality Vince Russo voiced his criticisms towards fellow wrestling figure, Paul Heyman. Considered by many as one of wrestling’s finest speakers, Heyman drew the ire of Russo when the latter stated,
“I don’t like Paul Heyman. It’s very hard for me to be objective when it comes to Paul. I think the dude has been cutting the same freaking exact promo for the last decade, man.
“It’s so one dimensional, it’s always the same thing. I think he freakin’ overacts. I am not a large admirer of Paul Heyman like everybody else. I am sorry, that’s my view.”
Heyman, after a six-year hiatus, made his reappearance to WWE television in 2012. He returned to act as the representative for Brock Lesnar and eventually established an alliance with CM Punk.
Nowadays, while still maintaining his on-screen alignment with Punk, Heyman is playing the role of Special Counsel to Roman Reigns, who has developed into a rival of Punk. A potential triple threat match with Seth Rollins at the highly-anticipated WrestleMania 41 has left fans pondering which side Heyman would ultimately choose.
