Wrestling legend Ric Flair is apparently striving for his return on WWE shows, slated to be a part of the Cody Rhodes-John Cena lineup, reveals Vince Russo.
Flair and Cena, both recognized as 16-time World Champions, have been on opposite sides quite a bit. Flair has consistently voiced his opposition to the idea of Cena clinching a 17th title.
Vince Russo shed some light on the situation and Flair’s opinions during a recent episode of his podcast, the “BroDown”. He expressed his thoughts on what he suspects is the agenda of the renowned Hall of Famer:
“Flair is dropping significant hints to be included in this. There needs to be a point where we let go of people. To say it respectfully, 80 is probably that cut-off age. Despite that, if he makes an appearance, I wouldn’t be surprised.”
It’s been a few years since Flair was seen in a WWE event. In 2021, he chose to part ways with the promotion in pursuit of opportunities beyond the wrestling world.
He allied himself with AEW during Sting’s retirement tour. Given that situation, the repeated World Champion has moved on from Tony Khan’s company in the recent past.
