Vince Russo Demands Credit For Launching Stacy Keibler’s Career
– ADVERTISMENT –

On a recent episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling’s The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, a major topic of discussion was Stacy Keibler’s induction into the WWE Hall of Fame a few weeks ago.

While the general sentiment has been polarizing among fans and experts, former WWE head writer Vince Russo was apparently more concerned with taking credit, as he often is, for scouting the former “Nitro Girl” to the company. He said,

“For all the beatings that I take, you know who put Stacy Keibler on TV? Me. I saw Stacy Keibler, and I’m like, ‘She can’t be one of the Nitro Girls.’”

During the same discussion, veteran wrestling journalist Bill Apter said,

“I think she [Stacy Keibler] had a good career. I don’t know if it was a career memorable enough to put her in the Hall of Fame unless there’s a reason to do that. She hasn’t been seen or anything in a long time, she hasn’t [been] seen [in] movies that I know of, not even a reality show. So maybe they’re just going to do this for nostalgia. Unless George Clooney is going to reunite with her.”

Keibler was featured in a prominent role on WWE TV for a number of years before departing the company to pursue a career in acting.
