Wrestling commentator, Vince Russo, recently gave his thoughts on a prominent Superstar’s potential to make a significant impact as the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and his predictions aren’t particularly positive.

WWE is set to announce its first Women’s Intercontinental Champion later this month, with Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria prepped to lock horns for the title.

On a recent episode of the “Legion Of RAW” podcast, Russo pondered over the prospects of Kai becoming the pathbreaking champion. Russo voiced his skepticism, stating:

“Didn’t we say a couple of weeks back they are going to put this belt on Dakota Kai? So, is it going to be Velcro? Oh my god, if they think Miss Velcro is going to be over because she’s got the Intercontinental Title, good luck with that, bro!”

Kai secured her position in the finals with victories against Katana Chance and Shayna Baszler in the inaugural round, followed by triumphing over Zoey Stark in the penultimate stage.

Meanwhile, Irish Superstar Valkyria dominated in her matches, outshining Zelina Vega and Ivy Nile in the first round and surpassing IYO SKY in the semifinals.

This much-anticipated match holds the promise of setting new milestones and rewriting history in the world of women’s wrestling. Stay tuned for the unveiling of the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
