Former MMA fighter Chael Sonnen, in a recent conversation with Flagrant, made contentious claims concerning Vince McMahon, insinuating inappropriate conduct with male professional wrestlers from the WWE.

Previously this year, in response to accusations concerning sex trafficking, assault, and several other severe allegations which he refutes, McMahon resigned from his post at WWE.

Below are key highlights from Sonnen’s podcast:

Commenting on rumors surrounding McMahon, Sonnen said: “Though I’ve never met Vince, I’m aware of 11 individuals he slept with, eight were women who were consenting adults, which raises questions about the others. On ‘The Jim Rome Show’, I wasn’t joking when I said this… But, when the men start coming forward, it’s a whole different story.”

Speaking about alleged advances made by McMahon towards male wrestlers, Sonnen remarked: “McMahon would manipulate their careers like he did with the women. You get more pay, you get promoted more. It wasn’t a surprise in the industry.” Adding that, stars like Shawn Michaels were the ones involved in such encounters.

Claiming that such rumors were not unknown, Sonnen stated: “This was notorious in the industry… There were both homosexuals and straight guys wanting a push in their career who engaged in activities akin to prostitution. Not just McMahon, but others like Pat Patterson and a few other executives were known for this behavior.”

Having a firm belief that the rumors were true, Sonnen concluded: “Vince had, several times, openly discussed his homosexual experience which most people thought were casual comments. He wasn’t kidding, but just narrating his experience.”
