Vince McMahon Says He Enjoys Confrontation, DJ Hed Comments On Meeting CM Punk At RAW

In the ongoing docuseries, “Mr. McMahon,” available on Netflix, Vince McMahon looks back on his 1992 appearance on Donahue in which he answered questions about several allegations against WWE.

Joining McMahon on the show were Murray Hodgson, Billy Graham, Bruno Sammartino, and Barry Orton. Each of them voiced their grievances with McMahon and his franchise.

In a revelation during the docuseries, McMahon said he decided to participate in the show as he relishes “in confrontation.”

You can see some excerpts below:

Reflecting on his Donahue appearance, Vince McMahon says: “I belong to an exclusive group of people who take pleasure in confrontation. I wouldn’t hesitate to confront someone, especially if they’re spreading falsehoods, in a scenario like Donahue. Regardless of whether it was a wise or regrettable decision, I did it both then and now.”

Commenting on the appearance, Stephanie McMahon says: “The Donahue show offered him an opportunity to defend his position. I don’t think the outcome was as he had hoped.”.

Radio host DJ Hed met with CM Punk during the recent WWE RAW TV tapings. He later discussed their meeting, WWE’s current successful run, and more on his “The Bigger Picture” podcast.

The following are some highlights extracted from the podcast:

About meeting CM Punk: “CM Punk and I share similar life perspectives. Big fan of CM Punk. He embraces and actively promotes a straight edge lifestyle, abstaining from substances. I have pursued a similar path throughout my career.”

About WWE’s current successful run: “Right now, it’s an exceptional production. Audience awareness that it’s scripted doesn’t hamper their enthusiasm, with the stories pulling them in. In fact, it’s arguably the best it has been in the last ten years. With Triple H handling the creative side. Behind the scenes, we’ve seen it all. At present, we have two black women as WWE women’s champions. In this day and age, it’s impossible to rig ticket sales data. All their main events are running two days in a row, and big names such as Cardi B are being announced at SummerSlam. The Monday Night Raw coming to Netflix in January will be a game changer in how we take in content.”
