Formal WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, is urging for the termination of the court-imposed suspension in the lawsuit led by Janel Grant against him.
As per information from Wrestlenomics’ correspondent, Brandon Thurston, McMahon seemingly submitted a motion recently for ending the halt in the legal action placed by the court. This pause was consented to in June, post Grant’s agreement to temporarily suspend the suit for half a year pertaining to a federal inspection focusing on McMahon.
In addition, Grant is active with filing an application for records against Dr. Carlon Colker and his organization Peak Wellness, Inc. clinic. She accuses that per Vince McMahon’s instructions, she was sent to the clinic in November of 2019. She claims to have received medicines involving pills and infused treatments that remained undisclosed to her.
Following McMahon’s move, his attorney’s statement was:
“Today’s motion is aimed at Ms. Grant’s blatant disregard of the federal Stay Order. After declaring to the Federal Court that she would place her lawsuit on hold, Ms. Grant instantly breached the Stay Order by seeking one-sided discovery for her gain. Her attorney portrayed to the press that the data required in the fresh state action in Connecticut are ‘to back up our allegations in the federal action.’ We’re requesting the Federal Court to ensure that the Plaintiff complies with the order of the Court; failing which civil contempt and financial penalties may follow.”
Furthermore, it was detailed that Vince McMahon is working towards a “limited end to the suspension to allow the filing and decision on his Motion to Implement the Court’s Stay Order.”
In response, Grant’s attorney also delivered a succinct statement: “We did not break a federal stay by initiating a state action against a non-defendant.”
