Previously on the USA Network, the show was assigned the TV-PG rating.
Amidst the streaming of the documentary series revolving around ‘Mr. McMahon’, WWE’s former Chairman, Vince McMahon shared how comfortable he was slipping into the ‘Mr. McMahon’ persona on WWE television broadcasts.
‘Mr. McMahon’, he revealed, “is a character informed by, or shall I say derived from, my very own personality, hence resonated deeply with my own experiences from my developmental years. My childhood was steeped in hardship and poverty, and I nurtured a distaste for the affluent because of some encounters with individuals who seemed to consider themselves superior owing to their financial superiority. Such experiences left me feeling insignificant. Back in those days, being able to stand your ground in a fight gained you respect and I excelled at that. The accusation was often that I didn’t stick to the rules of fair fight, to which my response was I won and that’s what mattered. So, bringing to life the character of Mr. McMahon, who could be intimidating, was familiar ground as it reminded me of the arrogance and intimidation experienced from the wealthy. So, I knew how to portray an intimidating bully who throws his weight around and enjoys it. Understanding and embodying this character came naturally to me as I connected it with experiences I loathed.”
