Programming Insider has reported that the May 28 airing of WWE NXT managed to attract 703,000 viewers, an impressive increase from the 654,000 that tuned in for the previous episode.
In addition to this increase in viewership, the wrestling show also saw a boost in the all-important 18 to 49 demographic segment; posting a 0.24 rating, this marked a considerable leap from the previous week’s comparatively lower 0.17 rating.
It is important to note that NXT faced stiff competition during its airing. As it happened, that was also when Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Finals was being televised. This significant sports event – featuring a match-up between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves – managed to muster a remarkable average of 6.7 million viewership and a 2.26 rating.
