Victory Road News – Tommy Dreamer Avoids Retirement, Lio Rush Retains Against KUSHIDA

Tommy Dreamer’s in-ring career lives on, as the ECW legend dethroned Kenny King to win the Digital Media Championship and avoid retirement at Friday night’s Impact Victory Road 2023 pay-per-view event.

Dreamer’s career was on the line in the match and he would have had to retire had he failed to win the title on Friday’s show.

Dreamer is in his maiden run with the Digital Media Championship, and this is also his first title in Impact Wrestling.

King’s reign ends at 56 days, having won the title at Slammiversary 2023 from Joe Hendry.

Rush’s title reign stands at 56 days, having won it from Chris Sabin at Slammiversary 2023 earlier this year.
