Notorious comedian Tony Hinchcliffe teamed up with Pat McAfee and Michael Cole to provide commentary for the WWE World Tag Team Championship match, a showdown between The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) and The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods).
Hinchcliffe, recognized for his Netflix show Kill Tony, has another big event coming up as he is set to emcee the Roast of WrestleMania during the much-anticipated WrestleMania weekend.
Prior to the 2024 Presidential election, Hinchcliffe attended a rally for convicted felon Donald Trump in New York. Here, he set off a storm of controversy from both sides of the aisle when he humorously referred to Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.” This remark, perceived as racially insensitive, was widely criticized by members of both political parties, including Senator Rick Scott and Representative Maria Elvira Salazar, who deemed it unacceptable and against Republican principles.
During the same event, Hinchcliffe stirred up controversy by making several other outrageous jokes, touching on racial and anti-Semitic themes, and mocking Latinos, Black people, Palestinians, and Jews. Although some of the comedian’s materials were screened by the Trump campaign, the most contentious jokes were reportedly spur-of-the-moment. The campaign has since distanced itself from the remarks, but Trump himself has yet to comment.
In the backdrop of this controversy, as Grammy-winning Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny expressed his support for Kamala Harris, there are increasing calls for Trump to apologize for Hinchcliffe’s remark. Puerto Rico’s archbishop and several local Republican leaders join this chorus.

In a side note, comedian Bert Kreischer added some humor to Monday’s WWE RAW episode with a surprise appearance.
During a behind-the-scenes interview with Cathy Kelley, Kreischer found himself interrupted by American Made (Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Chad Gable, and Ivy Nile). The situation escalated when Alpha Academy (Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa) arrived, climaxing in a funny segment where Otis and Bert tore off their shirts.
