Velveteen Dream is returning to the ring.

SWF Wrestling has announced that the former WWE star will make his first wrestling appearance since his WWE release at the promotion’s “Home Sweet Home” event on September 11.

Update: the tweet announcing Dream’s appearance was later taken down, and SWF posted a tweet in which owner/founder Rob Fury stated that Dream has been pulled from the event.

“Tonight we announced Velveteen Dream would be appearing at our Home Sweet Home event. I believe any man can be slandered and have been through other situations in my life unrelated but untrue. After careful consideration, Dream has been removed.”

Dream was released from WWE on May 20, 2021. He faced various allegations during his WWE run, and he has subsequently become a controversial figure in the wrestling industry. He has previously denied these allegations of solicitation.
