During the Impact Slammiversary Press Pass, Trinity called her upcoming title match with Deonna Purrazzo at Slammiversary ‘career-defining’.
Trinity will challenge Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship this Saturday at St. Clair College in Windsor, Canada. Trinity said,
“That is a great question. I actually have not even asked myself that. I feel like if I’m going into this match already thinking that I’m defeated or that I may not make it or I may not make it or I may not win or I’m not capable, then this ain’t the match for me, I don’t even need to be here. So I’ll cross that bridge when I get there, but I’m not even going there in my mind. I need to keep my confidence up because I am going to need everything positive and focused going against her. I don’t wanna allow any what if or negativity to even start to seep in at this point. The buildup is so strong, and I just want to stay this way until Saturday. I ain’t trying to answer that, I’m not even gonna try to put that into the universe because all I’m telling myself is I’m gonna win. I have to win. This match is a career-defining match for me. I feel like the goods, bads, ups and downs and indifferent all brought me to this moment with Deonna, so I have to make it happen by any means necessary.”
The City of Windsor, Ontario has declared that July 15th and 16th will be observed as ‘Impact Wrestling Slammiversary Weekend’.
In an interview with Wrestlezone, Lio Rush stated that he is currently at his best at this point in his career.
Rush will challenge Chris Sabin for the X Division Championship at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event on Saturday. Rush said,
“Now that I am here and now that I am staying here, I do feel like I’m at my best. I feel like I’m slowly creeping into my prime, it definitely feels like this is the right place and right time type of situation. I’ve never felt more clear headed, I’ve never felt more calm, poise. I’ve never felt more healthy, physically. I feel great, I really do. I’m fully ready for any and everything that comes my way because I will be prepared.”
Jack Perry took to Twitter to announce that he won’t return to an AEW event until HOOK is ready to defend the FTW Championship against him.

“Bullsh*… three weeks in a row of this. Since it’s impossible to get any work done these days, until there’s an FTW title match for me, I’m not coming back to work! I’m going to Hawaii.”
