AEW wrestler Julia Hart spoke to Taylor Wilde on her Wilde On podcast this week, and she reflected on her No Disqualification match against Anna Jay on the May 10 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Hart addressed the rough landing she took during a nasty bump on some chairs during the match. She said,

“I had a match with Anna and I was literally like dying. I landed on some chairs in our match and they were facing the wrong way, so I landed on the hard side and it hurt so freaking bad. I could barely move. I was picturing myself with one arm in cheerleading and I was like, ‘I can do it.’”

During a recent interview with the Wrestling With Johners Podcast, Nigel McGuinness spoke about ROH Hall Of Famer Jay Briscoe and expressed his intention of putting together a magic show as an homage to his late friend.

Jay passed away in a car crash in Laurel, Delaware, on January 17, 2023, at the age of 38.

McGuinness said, “I think the reason that so many people were shocked when he passed so untimely is he was so full of life. When someone that full of life can be gone in an instant like that, it’s a reality check to everybody. For me, it was an inspiration to say, ‘You’re not guaranteed tomorrow.’ People have been saying to me for the longest time, ‘You should do a magic show.’ And I was waiting for the right time. It’s unfortunate that it took Jay’s passing to be the impetus to really put pen to paper and create this 90-minute show, that is an homage to Jay, an homage to the love of professional wrestling, and magic as well.”
