NJPW has officially nicknamed Ren Narita, Shota Umino, and Yota Tsuji the ‘Reiwa Three Musketeers’. The name was selected due to the rise of the three young talents.
NJPW has used the nickname twice in the past. In 1988, Masahiro Chono, Shinya Hashimoto, and Keiji Muto were dubbed the ‘Three Musketeers Of The Fighting Spirit’, while in 2004, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Katsuyori Shibata were labeled as the ‘New Three Musketeers’.
