Josh Alexander addressed his status on Thursday’s Impact Wrestling following Slammiversary 2023. However, Alexander failed to deliver a clean message as he was soon interrupted by Alex Shelley who expressed his desire to put the Impact World Title on the line against him. Soon after, Lio Rush came out to tease exercising Option C and cashing in his X-Division Championship for an Impact World Title shot.
The three men were soon joined by KUSHIDA who declared there was no Option C until Rush fought him. Bully Ray announced he was coming down to the ring, as Brian Myers and Moose snuck up and attacked the babyfaces.

Scott D’Amore is back as the President of Impact Wrestling following Thursday’s show. D’Amore had been on a hiatus as he was dealing with Bully Ray, but he declared that his leave of absence was over.
