Atletifo is reporting that Japanese wrestling legend Genichiro Tenryu has been released from the hospital this week, almost 10 months after he was first admitted due to a cervical spinal injury last year.
Tenryu, 73, was diagnosed with “myelopathy and spinal canal stenosis associated with atlantoaxial subluxation,” and he was as good as dead when he was hospitalized.
In February, Tenryu underwent an emergency procedure to address septic shock from his kidneys. The veteran wrestler last competed in 2015, losing to Kazuchika Okada at the Tenryu Project: Genichiro Tenryu Retirement event.

The newly formed Team Spirit squad will take on Ice Cold and Genesis of Exile. And in The Main Event, Lana Star’s enforcer, Vickie Lynn McCoy faces new Superhero, and Spring Break 24/7 member Sandy Shore. Will Sandy get one step closer to the WOW Championship?
